I enjoy working on pianos. Here is a sample of some of that work. Here is some information about a piano I am selling right now.
The Kohler and Campbell spinet piano sold.
I now have a very nice Baldwin Acrosonic Spinet piano. It really looks sharp, has a matching bench, and here are the things I did:
1. Cleaned finish - nice walnut
2. New hammers ($600 job)
3. Replaced rubber grommets (at back of each key - $150 job)
4. tightened action screws
5. Tuning up to A440
6. Miscellaneous work
Price:
Piano & matching bench - $850
For moving, local and first floor, and tuning in the home after it has adjusted to new atmosphere - add $150 (usually $90 for tuning + $125 for moving)
For dampchaser system (dampchaser and humidistat installed) add $100 - (usually $150)
Let me know if you want to see it.

I am also working on a small grand piano - it is a Wurlitzer Butterfly piano, and is very interesting. It will be available in a few days. Here are a couple of "in progress" pictures:

I have restrung the piano, and am putting new dampers, some new felts, a new finish, and some other things. This is a 73 note piano that was owned by and original member of the "Rocketts", and is a very cute piano. It will be about $2,500 - less than the cost of restringing and refinishing.
This piano was purchased by Betty Predmore, and although she has passed away, it is in her home for the grandkids!
